  1. For this competition I would favorably give my vote to Charles-Richard Hamelin, for his consistency of tone, poetic quality, and his prowess throughout keyboard. One question rises: Is he has relation with legendary virtuoso Marc-Andre Hamelin?

  2. I think Hamelin is not as good in this round. He was far better in the 2nd round. It seems he plays everything exactly in the same happy mood., always happy even if it's supposed to be sad. I find this to be one of the weaker sessions. But we all have our preferences. Zi Xu did a good B minor, but among the Chinese, I wish Juian advanced to the 3rd round over him.
